Samyan Mitrtown Building wins the ASEAN Energy Awards in the energy efficient building category!<\/a>

EGS-plan has supported the project with fundamental commissioning services. Building commissioning is a quality management process, which verifies, that the technical systems of a new building are meeting the owner\u2019s project requirements. Therefore, commissioning starts right at the beginning of a new building project before the design starts. In regular periods, the design and the construction of a project will be checked and compared by EGS-plan\u2019s commissioning experts with the original owner\u2019s expectations. The actual commissioning work starts for our team with finalizing of the construction and startup of the technical systems. A commissioning plan clarifies responsibilities and provides functional checklists, so that the startup of the building is a structured process, despite of the final hectic weeks of a construction project. The result is a building which works as intended with a low energy consumption, great thermal comfort and low maintenance costs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

EGS-plan (Bangkok) Co., Ltd. has contributed with the energy and sustainability concept as well as the DGNB certification to the project. Main goal was to achieve an excellent work environment and highest environmental quality.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The sustainability concept comprises of a high-performance building envelope with double glazing with low-e coating, efficient thermal insulation, an airtightness concept and external shading. Fresh air is delivered by an air handling unit with energy recovery, the lighting system comprises of direct-indirect LED lamps and no harmful building materials were used. Energy is supplied by a district cooling system and a solar rooftop system, which produces more renewable energy than required for building operation (net-zero).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

For its outstanding sustainability concept, the building was awarded with the first DGNB Platinum certificate for office buildings in Southeast Asia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Two building projects of EGS-plan awarded for their innovative Energy Concepts!<\/a>

On 30th of October two projects of EGS-plan were awarded by GTCC (German-Thai Chamber of Commerce) for their innovative energy concepts at the residence of the German ambassador in Thailand.<\/p>\n

The first project was the Pruksa+ project which is a single-family house with an external shading concept, internal thermal insulation and outstanding airtightness. Fresh air is supplied by decentralized ventilation systems with energy recovery. A 5kWp<\/sub> photovoltaic system is combined with an ice storage to store solar energy and use it for air-conditioning in the nighttime.<\/p>\n

The second project was the new headquarter of Dhannarak Asset Development, which is a 3511 m2<\/sup> office building. The windows are shaded by overhang fixed shading and vertical louvres, which are automatically adjusted to the sun\u2019s position. Fresh air is provided by a fresh air handling unit with an enthalpy rotor to reduce ventilation cooling demand by more than 70 %. Cooling energy demand is provided by district cooling and about one-third of the energy demand is covered by solar energy from a 125 kWp<\/sub> PV system.<\/p>\n

Both projects were already awarded with the Platinum certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB. The medals were handed over by GTCC\u2019s Executive Director Dr. Roland Wein and H.E. Ambassador Georg Schmidt.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
