On September 1, 2025, EGS-plan (Bangkok) Co., Ltd. joined PHIST 2025 (Phuket Hotels for Islands Sustaining Tourism), hosted by the Phuket Hotels Association. The event gathered hotel owners, managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to advance sustainable, low-carbon business practices in hospitality.
Dr. Robert Himmler,Managing Director of EGS-plan (Bangkok), spoke on strategies for developing carbon-free green hotels through green energy solutions. He highlighted the H2upp Project, a collaboration between EGS-plan and GIZ, promoting the use of green hydrogen in hotels—especially on remote islands still dependent on diesel. The project supports market development by providing expertise, networking, and technical advice to strengthen energy sustainability and competitiveness in hospitality.
EGS-plan also hosted a booth, drawing strong interest from participants. It showcased the company’s sustainability services, including consultancy for EDGE (EGS-plan is Thailand’s first EDGE Preferred Provider), LEED, TREES, DGNB, and energy audits to help hotels cut energy use and costs.
