Organized by GIZ Thailand in cooperation with the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) / AHK Thailand, the event brought together stakeholders from government, industry, and the international development community to explore pathways for advancing green hydrogen and PtX technologies in the region.
During the panel, he shared perspectives of the work at EGS-plan (Bangkok) Co., Ltd., where we support the development of sustainable energy systems and carbon reduction strategies for green buildings. In the framework of the H2Uppp initiative, we are currently conducting a feasibility study for a pilot project on Koh Munnork, a small off-grid island in the Gulf of Thailand. The objective is to replace conventional diesel generators with a solar PV and green hydrogen-based energy system, offering a replicable model for decarbonizing remote locations.
The event highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships, regulatory clarity, and bankable pilot projects to scale up green hydrogen solutions in Southeast Asia.
Our sincere thanks to GIZ and GTCC for facilitating this valuable platform for exchange.
