The KFW bank funded Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings program (EEPB) aims at improving energy efficiency in public buildings in Jordan.

EGS-plan provides the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader in the project and manages the implementation of energy saving measures in more than 200 buildings.

GIZ implements the program component ASEP TA (Access to Sustainable Energy Program) funded by the European Union. EGS-plan supports the project in regard to the implementation of a building energy database for public buildings, capacity building for facility managers, assessment of energy saving measures and the review of the building energy code.

EGS-plan supported the project with several workshops
about energy plus buildings in tropical regions and an
energy efficient renovation concept for a healthcare
center. The goal was to assess different energy saving
technologies such as photovoltaic, LED lighting,
shading, glazing, and inverter type split units in regard to
energy and CO2 savings as well as payback time. To
achieve this, sophisticated building simulation tools
were used to predict energy savings.
